Led by a dominant 27-1 2nd Quarter, the Lady Bulldogs raced to a commanding 68-20 win at Damascus. Ten players scored in the season opener.
Ashley King led the team with game highs of 14 pts, 6 assists, and 3 steals. Maria Knowlton had 13 pts while Mena Hemphill added 10 pts and 8 rebounds. Aysha Gilmetdinova had a game high 11 rebounds to go along with her 9 pts.
The team travels to Seneca Valley on Tuesday.

The Lady Dawgs followed up their opening win with a commanding victory over Seneca Valley. Ashley King and Mena Hemphill tallied 17 pts each. Ashley added a game high 6 assists, while Mena had a game high 15 rebounds. Sydney Ashton contributed 8 pts and 3 steals, while Maria Knowlton also notched 3 steals to go with her 7 pts. Netah Shekel added 6 pts.
The team looks forward to their home opener this Friday vs Kennedy.

The Lady Dawgs won their 3rd in a row to start the 25-26 campaign with a resounding win over Kennedy. Mena Hemphill had a huge night with 20 pts, 16 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 blocks. Ashley King and Maria Knowlton added 14 each; Maria also had a game high 5 steals. Netah Shekel added 6 pts and a career high 9 assists in the win. Makayla Risso and Senna Lee chipped in 8 and 6 pts respectively.

Churchill Girls opened division play with a 67-35 win vs QO. The Dawgs opened with a 32-9 halftime lead and never looked back. Maria Knowlton had a season high 21 pts to go with 3 assists and 3 steals. Ashley King tallied 15 pts to go with game 6 assists and 3 steals. Aysha Gilmetdinova added 11 pts and 5 rebounds. Mena Hemphill and Sydney Ashton chipped in with 6 pts each. Netah Shekel added 5 assists.

Churchill passed their first division road test with a 57-46 win at WJ. The Dawgs stand at 5-0 and 2-0 in the division. Aysha Gilmetdinova had a dominant performance with 16 pts and 10 rebounds. Maria Knowlton put in 13 pts to go with 4 assists. Mena Hemphill had some clutch shooting garnering 11 pts and 12 rebounds. Ashley King posted another solid game with 10 pts, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals.
