Bulldogs defeated 2022 State Champ Western to advance to the State Championship. Dawgs were led by Dillan George 23 points and Chelsea Calkins 20 points. In the post, Allison Coleman had 9 points and Miranda Hill played tenacious defense on Western’s leading scorer. The Bulldogs will play for the State title Friday at 8pm at UMD College Park.

Bulldogs advance to the State Final Four after defeating Parkdale 66-43. Bulldogs took the lead early, and led by 13 at the half. The Bulldogs turned up the heat in the second half! Chelsea Calkins was particularly hot, shooting 11-16 from the floor and hitting a career high 31 points. Chelsea Calkins, Dillan George, and Allison Coleman all recorded double-doubles. The team’s strong defense, and sharp passing ultimately sealed the State Quarter Final win.

In a battle between the top seeded teams from Potomac, Churchill fought to come back and defeat Wootton 51-45. Chelsea Calkins led the way and remained the calming force for the Dawgs. Allison Coleman went 4-4 from the line when it mattered most, and Elise Huang sparked the team with her gutsy Q4 drives. A tremendous, gritty team win to claim the Regional title!

The Bulldogs captured the Girls Basketball Montgomery County Championship on Wednesday, defeating Clarksburg 56-41. The Dawgs raced to a 27-13 halftime lead and never looked back, claiming the 2023 championship. Dawgs are ready to begin their playoff run this week!

Allison Coleman led the forwards with a double-double, 14 pts and 10 R. Elise Huang 9 pts, Mena Hemphill 6 pts, and Dylan Rosen 3 pts were all strong contributors on O. Chelsea Calkins also led with confidence and strong play, recording 22pts, 3A, 6 R, and a team high 5 stls. Freshman Mena Hemphill had a great offensive game with 6 pts, 4 R, 1 A. Allison Coleman was a presence in the post, with a team high 7R, and a team high 5 Bl.

The coaches extend a hearty congratulations to Dillan George for scoring her 500th point in the 1st quarter of her 50th career game. We are so proud of this achievement, and of the way Dillan always plays and represents our team and school.

Dawgs came out hot in the season opener, shooting 54% from the floor as a team! Dillan George led all scorers with 24 points, followed by Chelsea Calkins with 11, and Ruby Siegal with 9.

Chelsea Calkins ran the offense and the break with vision and precision, and led with 6 assists. Dillan George fired up the defense, leading with 6 steals. Allison Coleman was a presence in the paint and grabbed 6 rebounds for the Dawgs.
